Earlier this week Swedish architects uncovered a truly remarkable find: the world’s oldest sex toy. Dating back to 4,000 BC, this Stone Age dildo measures six inches in length by 0.8 in diameter: making it relatively tame by modern standards. What is less tame however is the rather unforgiving material it is crafted from: stag antler!
Found at a Mesolithic site in Motala, the presumed sex toy was buried amongst all manner of other historical artefacts. And just in case you’re doubting its function; according to acclaimed Swedish archaeologist Martin Rundkvist: “Without doubt, anyone alive at the time of its making would have seen the penile similarities just as easily as we do today.”
Those cavewomen certainly knew how to have fun!
